How to Harvest and Store Your Garlic

by John

Garlic is a plant with a long history. For thousands of years, garlic has been growing wild in many parts of the world and it wasn’t until recently that cultivation of this tasty and flavorful herb began. Early man was not interested in cultivating it, so it was left to do its own thing in the fresh and natural environment. As the world changed, people began looking for ways to grow more garlic cultivation was born.

It is common knowledge today that garlic tends to be grown in the same place it grew wild – in the garden. Most people start by growing the best looking and most fragrant plants they can find, but often this is not enough. There are many different ways you can change the look of your garden if you are looking for an extra treat to add to it during the garlic harvest time. Many people who grow their own garlic bulbs will use lower leaves to hide the insides of the bulbs.

One of the ways you can change the look of your garden is by curing it. If you want to know how to cure and store garlic, you must understand what happens to the actual plant during the garlic harvest time. The bulb is removed from the plant and placed in a paper bag. This is then covered in water and left to dry for two weeks. The bag is placed into a storage facility and left to dry out completely. It will eventually fall off the plant and be picked and sold for consumption at the end of the garlic harvest time.

When you are curing your plant at the garlic harvest time, it is important to remember one thing. All bulbs should be allowed to dry out completely before covering or hanging. If you wait for the plant to dry out too much, it will dry out too much and the internal parts of the bulb will not properly absorb the oils and vitamins it needs to grow. Also, when you are curing your bulbs, be sure to do so in a well ventilated area. This is very important if you are using a hanging bag.

Raised Beds Vs Terrace: When you are planting garlic in raised beds, there are some differences to the normal garden you might see. First, the raised bedding is much more soil rich than the normal garden bedding. This is because it is more difficult to control the soil. Also, it is easier to maintain the proper moisture content and temperature for your plants compared to the normal garden bedding.

Drying Your Garlic Plants: Drying your plant is very important if you are storing it for later use. The longer you let it dry out, the more difficult it will be for you to preserve its health. It will start to get hard and dry as it dries out. Also, it will take longer for the garlic to produce the great taste later on after you have harvested it.
